You must spend a lot of time on your forklift thinking. Your analysis of several churches in Sheboygan are very interesting to be sure. I grew up in Sheboygan quite a few years ago. I never heard of your church, but my parents lived near it. I was always taught not to judge a book by its cover, today I guess that means judging a church by its Web site. The churches I attended always taught me respect for Scripture as the sole rule of faith (God’s words are in the Bible–not ours), but also to express that faith in love toward others (loving our neighbors as ourselves), especially the poor and those who have no one to speak for themselves. I ask God for forgiveness when I prejudge others, especially those of the household of faith.
Thanks for your comments.
You are right that one must not “judge a book by it’s cover.” But it is also important to point out serious error when it is preached publicly and unapologetically. For instance, local pastors who claim it does not matter whether or not there is a heaven or hell, need to be refuted so that they do not mislead innocent church members.
I do realize, though, that I am human and can make mistakes. For that reason I am open to suggestions. If there are any specific articles I wrote that you think are unfair, or that I got my facts wrong, please send me a private e-mail at schildan10@hotmail.com It is not my goal to misrepresent any local church.
God bless you,
-Daniel
