About Me
Thanks for reading my blog. My name is Daniel Schilling. I am a a 29-year-old forklift driver who has lived most of my life in Sheboygan County Wisconsin. I am shy, tall, and quiet. I have a beautiful wife who loves the Lord and two children. I graduated “cum laude” from Hillsdale college with a bachelor of science degree in English and a minor in chemistry. I also have a one year Certificate in Bible from Emmaus Bible College. My hobbies include writing epic poetry and reading history books about the wars of the 20th century. My favorite fiction authors are J. R. R. Tolkien and Mark Twain. I have written three epic poems and acted in two outdoor Shakespeare plays. I also used to do a bit of cross-country running, but I unfortunately have not found the time for it in recent years. My fastest two mile run was 12:29. My ancestry is Sheboyganite German and North Dakota Scandinavian.
If I had a “theme” Bible verse, it would probably be II Timothy 2:25.
“In humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth.”

hi there! I dont think people…whoever they may be had the right to change the original Bibile which was one of God’s Holy books…there are so many editions to the testements and books of christianity…it just causes so much confusion…how can a person follow a belif that ‘people’ themselves edit and alter…i dont get it.
peace!
What evidence do you have that the original Bible has been changed? Evidence actually points to greater than 99% accuracy. What evidence do you have to the contrary?
the New Testament…
Thanks for your comments Eva.
Actually, there has not been much editing/rewriting the original Bible. Take for instance the entire Old Testament. The editions that recent generations of Jewish scribes have copied down are almost Identical to the Dead Sea Scrolls, which are over 2,000 years old.
I am willing to discuss any of the editions of the books/testaments of Christianity that you wish to. Pick any topic.
Just drop by to say Hi.
Are you doing good?
I see you found me!
I’m doing good.
How about you?
I appreciate you’re strong message of love on here. Our Blessed Lord picked ”love” out of a line-up, saying out of faith, hope, and love, love was the greatest, and it is the message of Calvary. Keep up the love.
God love you,
Travis, Catholic1.net
From what I’ve read (so far) on your two blogs, I’m thinkin’ you’re a pretty awesome young man, Daniel.
I appreciate the encouragement. I’ll try to keep it from going to my head:)
Thank you for sharing, and God bless you.
fresh……………….
I’m from Green Bay, WI. Nice blog! Keep up the great work serving God!
We’re practically neighbors. Thanks for the encouragement and God bless.
From what I have read so far you seem to be able to say a great deal while only using a few words. Very refreshing in this opinionated age.
Thank you for that gracious compliment. I think that blog posts should (usually) be very short. The longer you ramble on about one subject, the more opportunity there is for people to miss your main point and/or misinterpret the article.
Hi Dan
I enjoyed reading your blog, I see you have a gracious and gentle spirit but as quiet as you maybe you are a strongly principled man and you wont back down easy. Thank God for you.
I guess I am some what of a dilemma for you my friend, since I read your post regarding Giving to missionaries that outreach in Muslim countries and I read your churches doctrinal statement also that states you believe the gifts faded with the apostles passing?
Here’s were it gets muddy Dan, my wife and I are missionaries in a Muslim land. People are bleeding and dying all around us on a regular basis, but, by Gods good grace He leads us to the right place at the right time and we are seeing our Muslim friends give their lives over to Christ. Some times 40, 50, 60+ at a time even when we have been surrounded by armed rebels. They listened, they wept, they asked Christ in to their lives.
Here’s how that happens sir – First we share Jesus, I tell them my story, I saw Him with my own eyes, He spoke my name and I heard Him with my own ears – I didn’t even believe in Him at the time. But the vision and the grace shattered the pride and arrogance in me and weeping on my knees I begged for His forgiveness. I tell them about the cross and then we tell them if what we say is true then Jesus Christ the Son of God will do miracles here today just like when He walked the earth. Then we pray and the Lord begins to heal them Dan, usually, immediately, we cant do that, But Christ can and does all the time. That’s the power of the risen Christ that convinces them as they know Allah cant do that. We have many wonderful Muslim and former Muslim friends. They surely pay a price for converting to Christ. So, shall I give up what we see and know and can prove from scripture so we can embrace your churches tenants of faith? Or do you read your bible again and enjoy the fullness of what it really says?
Great blessing on you faithful servant of the Lord
Your prayers appreciated.

Dear George,
For my whole life that I thought Philippine is Christian country? So, today, Christian in Philippine have recognize that Philippine is Muslim’s country? Thanks God.
(sarcasm)
Thanks for your comment George. I know that there are many stories of Muslims converting to Christianity every day as a result of a vision they saw. There are also many stories of healings. Are these visions/ healings real? I don’t know because I wasn’t there. On the one hand I know that my God is powerful enough to give visions to convert Muslims to Christianity. On the other hand, I know how easy it is for people to exaggerate stories, and false teachers often pretend to be healers.
My personal approach is to keep any open mind about these things, and not judge. On the one hand I don’t want to criticize someone who is truly doing these things through God’s power. On the other hand, I don’t want to endorse someone when there is a chance they may be a fraud. Therefore, logically, I need to withold my judgment and go about my own business.
God bless,
-Daniel
Hi Dan thanks for the measured reply. You are correct in saying you were not there? But, I’m sure you’ll agree that a thing is not necessarily true after you deem it to be so?
Our Muslim friends comment above is correct in that Philippines is still considered Christian, Regardless, in the southern most island, Mindanao, where we are, there is endless political wrangling for it to be re-classed as “Muslim” though the fact is that only 10% of this southern island are in fact “culturally” Muslim, the small minority of extremists continue to prove that they are far from a religion of peace. Recent Muslim inter tribal conflicts has witnessed for the first time here that they are now beheading each other and no longer just “infidels”?
So you can see the reasoning and end game of anyone who is spiritually blind enough or morally depraved enough to believe such falsehood as presented by the Koran.
Oh that was just sarcasm! Tragically we are up close and personal with the reality not ideology and all the devastation this religious delusion brings.
However, your comments
“to exaggerate stories, and false teachers often pretend to be healers” or “may be a fraud”.
I understand why you would say that. So called “God TV” is full of such circus acts, money grabbers and snake oil salesmen. What fearful judgement awaits them. But, for the record, we are not healers, we personally pay to go preach. There is no margin for error to get it wrong, lives may be at risk – mostly our own.
The people we are speaking to acknowledge probable death for accepting Christ, But God is gracious and affirms Himself with instant healing power and miracles. There is no big offering taken in the camps we visit, our reward is in heaven. We here not for the money, but because the people who say that the power of the Holy Spirit has faded wont come?
I would not come into situations like this without the express power of the Holy Spirit to confirm our message, believing that reason and logic was argument enough to convert a Muslim to Christ is foolishness. These dear people must know that “Isa al Masi” (Jesus the prophet) has more power than Mohammed the prophet. Words do not cut it my friend the cost is to great for them, they need proof and Christ the son of God is willing to provide that to gather those lambs that are His.
Prayers appreciated Dan, we return to an area tomorrow where there has been numerous massacres and already some of our team are telling us that we should not go at this time.
God is with us and fruit await us. We know very few Muslims who are truly happy with their imposed “beliefs” and their hearts are filled with hope when Christ is proven as Sovereign & divine. Kindest regards
I know what you are saying about the Philippines. I have some friends who were missionaries there awhile back. They were partners of that American couple that was captured and killed by Geurrillas.
God bless you George. I’ll pray for your safety, success of the message, and faithfulness.
30 second visit to the blog Dan, you are always welcome to stay longer friend.
Kind regards
Thanks for the prayers sir, appreciated – Bless
